I have been having this issue for a week or so now everytime i try and run a backup (using Vranger), a snapshot through the console or even Vmotion it comes up with this error.

Error Message: API Call failed with message: Another task
is already in progress.
I can reboot the machine, vmotion to another server after the reboot and it will work fine for one time and then the next backup it will fail with the same error. I have gone through various things with VMware tools and VSS services but nothing seems to resolve it permantently
does anyone else have the same issue
ESX 4, VM version 7 running Server 2003 SP2
