Hi Everyone,
I am new to VMware. Basically, I am running Windows 7 64 Bit on my Dell T300 server (Compatible with all VMware products) . I did use VMware Workstation 7 to create ESXi 4.0 servers. Also configured Microsoft AD in a 64 bit Windows 2008 Server, installed vCenter in Windows 2003 server 32-bit and deployed VDR successfully. When I tried to power on my VDR appliance I am getting the following error... I did double/triple checked my T300 and saw the Virtualization is 'ENABLED' in the BIOS. I don't know what else to look?
Host CPU is incompatible with the virtual machine's requirements at CPUID level
0x80000001 register 'edx'. Host its: 0000:0000:0001:-0000:0000:1000:-0000:0000
Required: xx1x:xxxx:xxxx:xx-xx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx
Mismatch detected for these features:
Longmode; required when a virtual machine is configured for a 64-bit guest OS.
Note that for systems with Intel CPUs, enabling VT in the BIOS is required for longmode support.
Please help me.
Thanks
Leo.
