HTTP download of vmx file

Hello Experts,

how to download the vmx file when the datacenter contains the special character (such as +)

Tried "https://hostname/folder/vm/vm.vmx?dcPath=DS+1&dsName=datastore1"  \

AND "https://hostname/folder/vm/vm.vmx?dcPath=DS%2B1&dsName=datastore1"

Datacenter: DS+1

datastore = datastore1

Can you please help to get the correct URL ?
