Hi, we have a client thats going to buy vmware essentials plus where we will be taking there 8 physical server down to 2.
So we are looking into how we are going to backup things and right now it looks like we are going to go with the VMware Data Recovery that comes with Essentials package.
For the local backup we will just have a cheap San with a share on it to backup to.
But I got to thinking, what are our options for having an offsite backup incase of a disaster like a fire.
Does the Data Recovery Appliance have any kind of replication features in it?
Basically ide like to just have the backup share replicate over the WAN to another cheap Storage San.
Do i need a third party solution for this? If so does anyone have any recomendations?
Cost is a factor
