Im just checking the VDP 5.5.
Im stuck with the RAW's and backup/recovery of guests with this hd's
I know that is not supported to backup such HD's but I thought i can just backup the guest without the raw device.
I mean i have some fileserver with windows guest sysetem and i would like to backup the OS "C" which ist a normal vmdk hd, only the datavolumes "E" and so on are raw dievices which i do not have to backup with VDP.
So my plan was just to backup c and restore the vm if it fails.
If I just shut down the vm and restore it over the existing files it works, but if i delet the system from the vm store and try to restore it fails.
The log says because of not supported devices like raw, dvd and so on.
Can any one help me please?
