Does anyone know if there is a way to get failed VDP backup jobs to retry automatically instead of it waiting for the next schedule run time which is the next day or going the VM and manually kicking off a backup?
For example I have 1 backup job with 10 VMs and it's schedule to run at 9pm. It runs and completes 8 out of the 10 VMs the other 2 failed for some unknown reason but VDP doesn't retry these 2 failed VMs until the next day at 9pm. I know that in the old VDR appliance VDR would retry any failed VMs within a 30 minutes window.
Also does anyone know of a way to actively monitor running jobs in VDP? At least in the old VDR you can see what VMs are backing up and their progress as oppose to VDP which leaves you in the blind.
